What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Head Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality food is prepared and served to exceptional standards. You must be passionate about food and be prepared to provide creative input in an environment where high quality ingredients are the norm and Restaurant menu is changed every 2 weeks.  You must be a team player, collaborating and working closely with a team of diverse chefs and kitchen hands. You will remain composed and organised in high pressured situations whilst at all times demonstrating our core values of Passion, Teamwork, Excellence and Respect.
Working weekends and evenings until 10pm is a requirement in this role, as part of a rotating roster.
The key tasks include:

  • Day to day set up and running of a section. Sections are rotated regularly.
  • Ensure HACCAP regulations are adhered to and cleaning standards maintained
  • Lead by example with positive behaviours and be able to supervise and work unsupervised

  • Up to date knowledge of current food trends

  • Unlimited working rights and able to full time hours.
  • Preferably hold a formal, relevant qualification (minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery)
  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience within a similar environment – hotel style modern or fine dining restaurants and be experienced in food preparation for functions.

  • NSW Food Safety Certificate (desirable)
  • NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate (desirable)
