An innovative club, Carbrook Golf Club is a members owned Club on the border of Logan and the Redlands. We have approximately 1000 members and an annual turnover of $3 Million. Our Club continues to strive for improvement across all areas of its operations. The Club is a semi-private facility that manages members and public golfers with around 65,000 rounds (visits) per annum.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage manager to look after the areas of Food, Beverage and Functions in our busy golf club. The right person will be a “hands on” manager who likes to lead by example, and who holds the passion to deliver the highest level of customer service. As a guide the beverage turnover annually is $600k and the food turnover is $160k.
The successful person will be expected to use their knowledge and experience to manage and lead the small team of 6-8 fantastic staff and create exceptional customer service, increase profitability as well as achieving compliance across the areas of liquor licensing, food and workplace health and safety.
You will be supported by the General Manager and it is vital that you are enthusiastic, innovative and enjoy responsibility in your role. You must also be willing to do the hard work and the small things day to day to achieve great results.
Experience / Qualifications
It is expected that the applicant will already hold the following:
- Minimum 5 years Hospitality Industry Experience (ideally in both food and beverage)
- Minimum 12 months in a management role
- Approved Manager
- Food Handling and Management Experience
It will also be highly regarded should the person hold:
- Management Qualifications
- Functions/ Event Management Experience
- Food Safety Supervisor
- an interest/ understanding of golf
- Club environment experience
It is also expected that the applicant lives within a reasonable commute of the club and own transport is a requirement.
What are we offering?
An attractive remuneration package is offered and will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.
You will work across the 7 days of the week as required to meet the demands of the business. Importantly your shifts will be mostly day shifts with an occasional night function which you will manage. It is an expectation that you will work most weekends which is the busiest time of the business.
