We currently have an incredible employment opportunity for a Facility Manager at Freeway Golf Course, our premier Victorian site. Located in the picturesque parklands of Balwyn North along the Yarra River (just 10km from Melbourne CBD), this high-volume community facility has been transformed through major renovation and is now one of Melbourne’s best public access golf experiences, open 7 days a week to all golfers.

 

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Customer orientated and passionate about delivering outstanding service
  • Passionate about sport and building vibrant, inclusive community hubs
  • Strong leaders with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with computers, booking systems, reporting tools and data
  • Proactive problem-solvers who thrive in busy, fast-paced environments

 

The role oversees all operational requirements of the facility inclusive of, but not limited to:

  • Overall facility operations & high-volume daily management
  • Event Management and community programming
  • Retail (Pro Shop) Operations and merchandising
  • Staff Management inc. rostering, training, development & performance
  • Tee Sheet / Golf Bookings Management and revenue optimisation
  • OH&S compliance, risk management and safety leadership
  • F&B Service oversight and exceptional customer hospitality
  • Stakeholder Engagement (Council, partners, suppliers, community)
  • Operational & Financial Reporting, KPIs and continuous improvement

 

Experience working within a golf course or leisure facility environment is desirable, but not essential. We’re looking for a candidate with strong leadership qualities, event or operations management experience, excellent problem solving and organisational skills and, importantly, a genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer service within a community-based setting.
