Product – Associate Analyst – Taylormade
Key elements of the role are delivering category leading product ranges, alignment with global product strategies whilst working with key strategic customers.
A holistic ownership of the Go to Market process delivery industry leading sales tools, whilst driving the brands with sales and margin budgets as well as operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage category product strategies and execute seasonal plans that result in sustainable revenue growth and profits, improved sell through in market and build awareness of the brands.
- Own the PQ (Program Quantity) forecast:
- Provide detailed category forecasts for both local and global planning teams.
- Be the consumer and category specialist for TaylorMade Golf in Pacific.
- Own selection and distribution of custom offerings and regularly update.
- Partner with the sales team to drive categories and deliver sales and margin targets.
- Develop and present sales strategies to drive category growth.
- Set up and maintenance of seasonal category growth buy plan including SelectFit roll out (pricing & margin).
- Development and implementation of strategic seasonal business plans.
- Execution of internal and key customer presentations and Go to Market processes e.g. sales tools preparation, product catalogues, sampling.
- Leading the industry through innovative, specific and benchmark “Go-to-Market” processes.
- Working collaboratively with the regional and global category Managers ensuring alignment and comprehensive Pacific requirements are catered for.
- Responsible for selection of Pacific soft goods range.
- Analysing market share information and develop seasonal competitor information tools. Including:
- Market Analysis of each product category (overlaying with competitors).
- Play a proactive role in managing product lifecycle and ensure product close out is called and work with demand planner to move through any excess stock.
- Manage selection of fitting and select fit kits in conjunction with fitting team to ensure maximum ROI on investment.
- Play a proactive role in inventory management for the category including clearance programs, identification of slow moving and focus sku’s.
- Achievement of key budget & growth targets.
- Plan and execute online & in-store training to coincide with new product lunches.
- Conduct regular internal product training to ensure all team members are an extension of the product team.
- Plan and manage product launch policies (PLP), drive key stakeholder meetings to ensure every launch is seamless.
- Reporting weekly to global product leads and regions
- Manage the salesman sample process
- Managing the sample budget
- Coordinating Stocktakes
- Responsible for pricing setup
- Develop, manage, and implement an end-to-end pricing roll out
- Ensure all price lists are maintained
- Product submissions are supplied to all key stakeholders in a timely manner
- Ongoing maintenance of internal and external line lists
- Supply and maintenance of tech books and component books
- Providing content assets for internal and external use.
Minimum Qualifications (varies depending on focus and size of the market):
- Tertiary Qualifications in marketing and or relevant product/marketing experience
- Have a working knowledge/experience of product management in golf or similar industry
- A keen passion for golf and specifically product
- The ability to work independently and perform a variety of tasks with varying complexity
- Good attention to detail, be a proactive self-starter and demonstrate initiative
- Strong communication & presentation skills
- Good organizational and time management skills & a proven ability to adhere to deadlines
- Financial acumen with respect to product management
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel
- Basic Adobe design suite skills
