Robertson Lodges is seeking an exceptional First Assistant Golf Professional to join our world-class golf and hospitality operation at Kauri Cliffs, located in the spectacular Bay of Islands. About the Role

As First Assistant Golf Professional, you will play a key operational leadership role in delivering an exceptional golf experience to our predominately international clientele. Working closely with the Head Golf Professional, you will contribute across all facets of golf operations including guest service, retail, tournaments, and coaching.

You will be instrumental in ensuring consistently high service standards that reflect a luxury resort experience, elevating both member and guest engagement.

 

About You

We are seeking a polished, service-driven golf professional with strong international exposure and a passion for excellence.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified PGA Professional (NZPGA, PGA of Australia, or equivalent internationally recognised certification)
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Professional role within a high-end golf club or resort environment
  • Demonstrated experience working at US private club service models and resort-style golf clubs.
  • Strong retail acumen with experience in high-value golf shop operations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and peak holiday periods
