The Opportunity
Redcliffe Golf Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant PGA Golf Professional to join our Golf Operations team.
This is a full-time or permanent part-time employee position providing an opportunity to work across the golf shop, member services and broader golf operations, while developing your professional career within a supportive and progressive club environment.
Working closely with the Director of Golf, the successful applicant will play an important role in providing a high level of service to our members and the many visitors who enjoy the club each year.
About Redcliffe Golf Club
Located approximately 35km north of Brisbane on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Redcliffe Golf Club offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle and an established golfing community.
The club operates seven days a week, with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday being particularly busy due to competition play and strong member participation.
The club boasts a well-presented 18-hole golf course and provides an enjoyable environment for members, visitors and golfing groups.
About You
The successful applicant will be a current PGA Member, with Certified status under the PGA’s ACE Program highly regarded. Advanced status, or a willingness to work towards Advanced status, in a relevant ACE stream such as Coaching, Game Development, Small Business or Management would also be advantageous.

Position Overview
The successful applicant will be involved in a range of golf shop, member service and golf operations responsibilities, including:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the golf shop
- Assist with the administration of club competitions and member services
- Assist with retail sales, customer service and product advice
- Maintain the presentation and organisation of coaching and practice areas
- Promote coaching programs and club initiatives
- Build strong relationships with members and guests
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Golf and Golf Operations team
- Assist with clinics, events and member engagement activities
Coaching & Development Opportunity
While coaching is not the sole focus of the position, the role provides a genuine opportunity for the successful applicant to develop and grow their coaching profile.
Redcliffe Golf Club has an established member base, including existing junior and beginner programs, providing a strong foundation for a PGA Professional looking to build their coaching business.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct individual and group lessons
- Assist with and conduct clinics
- Be involved in junior and beginner programs
- Build and develop their own coaching clientele
- Generate additional income through lessons, clinics and group coaching
- Retain 80% of lesson income
This provides the opportunity to combine a stable employee position with the ability to develop additional income and professional experience through coaching.
Remuneration & Entitlements
The position is offered as an employee role within a supportive and progressive club environment, with strong opportunities for professional development and additional earning potential.
Remuneration and benefits include:
- Base salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications
- Sales incentives and bonus opportunities
- 80% of lesson income retained by the professional
- Access to established coaching programs and an existing member base
- Existing junior and beginner programs to build from
- Additional earning opportunities through clinics and group coaching
- Opportunities to further develop the coaching and golf operations components of the role
Commencement
Commencement date to be negotiated with the successful applicant, with an immediate start available if required.
