Ngāruawāhia Golf Club is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated person to join our team as a Golf Operations Coordinator for the busy summer golfing season.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position, working approximately 20–25 hours per week from an immediate start through to 31 March 2027.

About the Role

Working as part of our Golf Operations team, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the Club and ensuring our members, visitors and guests receive a great experience.

The role is varied and hands-on and will include:

• Managing bookings, tee times and general golf enquiries
• Providing excellent service to members and visitors
• Assisting with tournaments, competitions and other Club events
• Supporting member communications and general administration
• Liaising with our greenkeeping team regarding course conditions, closures and operational requirements
• Maintaining accurate records and assisting with operational reporting
• Supporting the wider team during busy periods and special events
• Assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the golf facility

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, professional and confident dealing with people
• Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks
• A strong communicator, both in person and in writing
• Comfortable using computers and booking/scheduling systems
• Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexible with their availability, including some weekend and evening work
• Customer-focused and willing to get stuck in when things get busy

Previous experience in golf club operations, administration, hospitality or a customer-facing environment would be an advantage.

Knowledge of golf is desirable but not essential — the right attitude, reliability and ability to provide great service are more important.
