Operations Manager | Little Para Golf Course
Location: Little Para Golf Course, Paralowie SA
Company: GreenSpace Management
Position: Operations Manager
About the Role
GreenSpace Management is seeking a hands-on, motivated and versatile Operations Manager to join our team at Little Para Golf Course.
We operate with a small, close-knit team and are looking for a manager who is comfortable working alongside staff and being actively involved in all aspects of the venue’s daily operations.
This is not a traditional management role where you simply oversee the team. We need someone who leads by example, is confident managing opening and closing procedures and is just as comfortable serving customers, collecting driving range balls, preparing food in the kitchen or assisting with events and functions.
With a Golf Course, TrackMan Driving Range, SHANX Mini Golf and food and beverage facilities, this is a varied role where no two days are the same.
Above all, we are looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty and do whatever is required to support the team and ensure the venue runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Venue Operations: Assist with the day-to-day management of the Golf Course, TrackMan Driving Range and SHANX Mini Golf, including opening and closing procedures.
- Customer Service: Serve customers, manage bookings, process transactions and deliver a welcoming customer experience.
- Driving Range Operations: Collect, wash and replenish driving range balls, maintain equipment and ensure the range is clean, safe and presentable.
- Food & Beverage: Prepare and serve food and beverages, assist with catering requirements and maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Events & Functions: Assist with the planning, setup, catering, coordination and delivery of events, functions and group bookings.
- Team Leadership: Work alongside staff, support training and coordinate daily operational duties.
- Roster Support: Assist with staff rostering, shift coverage, leave management and ensuring appropriate staffing levels across venue operations.
- Invoice Coordination: Assist with the collection, checking, processing and coordination of supplier invoices, ensuring accurate records and timely submission to the finance team.
- Facility Maintenance: Undertake general cleaning, basic maintenance, grounds presentation and operational tasks as required.
- Retail & Stock Management: Assist with stock control, merchandising, ordering and maintaining the Golf Shop.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure workplace health and safety procedures, food safety requirements and liquor licensing obligations are followed.
- Business Performance: Support the Facility Manager in achieving operational targets, improving customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, retail or venue operations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in daily operational duties.
- Willingness to undertake physical tasks, including driving range ball collection, cleaning and general maintenance.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
- Responsible Person accreditation or willingness to obtain.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Availability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Golf knowledge and an understanding of golf operations are highly desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in golf course, driving range or recreational facility operations.
- Experience with staff rostering, invoice coordination and general venue administration.
- Experience in event coordination, hospitality or food and beverage operations.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Leads by example and is never afraid to get their hands dirty.
- Is equally comfortable serving customers, collecting range balls, preparing food or managing an event.
- Takes ownership of the venue’s presentation and day-to-day operations.
- Can work independently, make decisions and solve problems.
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to assist wherever needed.
- Understands the importance of teamwork, accountability and delivering a great customer experience.
- Thrives in a small team environment where everyone contributes to the daily workload.
- PGA Professionals are welcome and encouraged to apply.
