Our Pro Shop team is committed to delivering the highest level of service to members, guests, and visitors, while playing a key role in supporting the Club’s golf operations. The team consists of specialists across retail, golf operations & PGA Professionals, who work closely with National and State coaches, members, visitors and a highly engaged management team.

Position Summary
The role combines supporting the day-to-day management of the Pro Shop while assisting in the delivery of golf operations, competitions, and events.
Reporting directly to the Head Professional, the successful candidate will be a motivated and flexible individual with a passion for customer service and the golf industry.
Key Responsibilities
Golf Operations
- Assist with daily golf enquiries from members and visitors
- Manage tee-time bookings and competition entries, ensuring efficient tee sheet flow
- Communicate course rules, local procedures, and golf etiquette clearly
- Support competition administration using systems such as MiClub
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of club competitions, social groups, and corporate golf days
- Support event management, player registration, and administration
- Assist with the management of all visitor and corporate golf activities
Pro Shop & Retail
- Always deliver an exceptional customer service experience
- Process sales transactions via POS systems
- Assist with day-to-day golf shop management with a focus on sales performance
- Support stock control, inventory management, ordering, and supplier liaison
- Maintain high visual merchandising and presentation standards
- Prepare and manage motorised cart hire, including check-in/check-out processes
- Ensure carts are clean, well-maintained, and stored safely
Key Selection Criteria
Golf Literacy
- Sound knowledge of golf terminology, rules, and the golf industry
Industry Experience
- Experience in golf operations, retail, or hospitality environments
- Applications encouraged from PGA Professionals or candidates with strong retail backgrounds
Technical Skills
- Strong computer skills, including booking systems and POS operations
- Experience with MiClub software (highly regarded)
Availability & Reliability
- Must be available to work a 7-day roster, including weekends and early morning starts (as early as 5:30 AM)
Communication Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and friendly approach
Work Rights & Compliance
- Valid Australian work rights for a minimum of 12 months
