Minnippi Golf & Range is a brand-new 18-hole golf course and driving range that opened in September 2023, with our newly constructed 150 seater restaurant Cooee due to open late January, all only 15 minutes from the CBD of Brisbane, Queensland

We have a position available for an enthusiastic and creative Sous Chef to join our team and support a multi-talented team in our kitchen and hit the ground running and live up to the culture and values of Clublinks.

This adaptable and relaxed venue will be a sought-after destination for the local community and avid golfers from all around Brisbane and we are looking for a new team of “Happy Experts” to deliver an outstanding food & beverage offering.

Reporting to the Head Chef, The Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the running of the day-to-day operations of the kitchen whilst supporting and mentoring other team members on site to ensure the production of high-quality food for all hospitality outlets. These outlets include the Cooee Café & Restaurant, the golf shop and any food and beverage offerings and corporate golf events.

Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing all food production operations at the facility and ensuring the production of consistent, high quality food for all F&B offerings
  • Support the Head Chef in the implementation and maintenance of control procedures within the department, including daily food production charts, OH&S and food safety practices
  • Assist the creation and maintenance of the menu specification, recipes, pictures, and production forecasts
  • Maintain and evaluate existing food concepts as well as the development of new ones to ensure the highest quality of food, profitability with a focus on sustainability and freshness
  • Maintain a quality sanitation program in all areas of the F&B business
  • Stock and inventory management – including providing assistance to the ordering and stock take processes
  • Facility Management & ensuring the kitchen remains useable and safe at all times

About you

  • 3 + proven years’ experience working in a similar role within the Hospitality, Entertainment and/or Recreation industries.
  • Cert IV Commercial Cookery, Food Safety Supervisor
  • Exceptional leadership skills including a proven track record of developing high performing teams, mentoring and coaching
  • Proven track record of working in a high paced, active F&B environment and delivering exceptional results
  • Creativity and a passion for the role and desire to succeed
  • Solid financial and business acumen
  • Proven experience in rostering and stocktaking
  • Energetic and vibrant approach
  • First Aid & National Police Check
