e’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Aquatic Program Coordinator to help deliver exceptional aquatic experiences at the UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about aquatic programs, customer experience and developing high-performing teams.
Working closely with the Aquatic Program Manager, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of our Learn to Swim program, school bookings and aquatic services. From pool deck leadership to behind-the-scenes coordination, you’ll help ensure our programs operate safely, efficiently and deliver outstanding experiences for our members, students and community.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery, growth and ongoing success of our Learn to Swim and aquatic programs.
- Coordinate pool bookings, school programs and day-to-day aquatic operations.
- Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Build strong relationships with schools, stakeholders and internal teams.
- Manage program administration, enrolments, reporting and operational systems.
- Support and develop aquatic team members to achieve program goals.
- Ensure compliance with all operational, safety and legislative requirements.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to continuously improve program performance and service delivery.
About You
You’ll be a motivated aquatic professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and creating positive experiences for customers and team members alike.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in an aquatic facility, ideally within a high-volume environment.
- Practical pool deck experience and a strong understanding of aquatic operations.
- Current Lifeguard qualification (essential).
- Leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management and safe work practices.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings and weekends
