About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Aquatic Program Coordinator to support the delivery and growth of our aquatic programs at UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre.
This is a full-time, hands-on role where you’ll ensure our Learn to Swim, school programs and pool bookings are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Reporting to the Aquatic Program Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. You will support your team in driving program performance, and delivering a strong customer experience.
You’ll also take ownership of the behind-the-scenes coordination, including administration, stakeholder management and operational support to ensure our programs run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery and growth of Learn to Swim and Aquatic Programs
- Coordinate day-to-day program operations and pool bookings
- Deliver a high-quality customer experience across all programs
- Manage bookings, enquiries and program administration efficiently
- Maintain accurate reporting, records and systems
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, schools and external stakeholders
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring incidents are managed and reported appropriately
About You
- Demonstrated experience working in aquatic centres, ideally within large-scale facilities
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and improve operational processes
- Practical pool deck experience (essential)
- Proven ability to maintain operational and statutory compliance standards
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine focus on customer experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Working With Children Check and National Police Check
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
