An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our Course Maintenance Team.

Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a highly regarded golf facility while contributing to an exciting period of course development and improvement. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in upcoming capital works, course upgrades, and long-term projects that will help shape the future of the club and its member experience.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of golf course maintenance operations
  • Supervising, training, and motivating maintenance staff
  • Monitoring turf health, including disease, pest, and moisture management
  • Assisting with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Implementing turf nutrition, fertiliser, and chemical application programs
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Contributing to course improvement projects, capital works, and future development initiatives
  • Supporting the delivery of exceptional playing conditions across all course areas

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Certificate III or IV in Sports Turf Management (minimum)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Certificate III Sports Turf Manager or a similar turf management environment
  • Chemical application accreditation (AQF3 or equivalent)
  • Sound understanding of safe pesticide and fertiliser use
  • Experience with irrigation systems and turf management practices
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead staff
  • Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Operate and maintain specialised turf equipment and machinery
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required
