Bowral Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and golf-loving individual to join our Golf Operations team as a PGA MPP / Golf Shop Trainee.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about golf and looking to build a long-term career in the industry. The successful applicant will gain hands-on experience across all areas of golf operations, retail, competitions, coaching support and member service, while being supported through the PGA Membership Pathway Program.

Established in 1901, Bowral Golf Club is proudly known as “The Home of Golf in the Southern Highlands.” With a growing membership, a welcoming club culture, a picturesque golf course only minutes from Bowral town centre, and the recent launch of our hospitality venue The Hastings by Barrington’s Group, this is an exciting time to become part of the team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager, this role is ideal for someone who wants to learn the golf industry from the ground up.

You will be involved in the day-to-day delivery of the member and guest golf experience, including golf shop operations, tee time management, competitions, retail, coaching program support and general golf services.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone with a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine love of the game.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the daily operations of the Golf Shop and golf services
Delivering a professional, friendly and welcoming experience to members, guests and visitors
Managing tee times, competition bookings and daily play requirements
Assisting with competition administration, MiClub operations and GolfLink processes
Supporting coaching programs, clinics, junior activities and member engagement initiatives
Assisting with merchandising, stock presentation and retail displays
Supporting cart fleet operations and general golf services
Helping maintain a clean, professional and welcoming Golf Shop environment
Working closely with the Golf Operations Manager and broader Club team to enhance the golf experience at Bowral

About You

A strong passion for golf and the golf industry
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Ability to multitask in a busy, member-focused environment
A team-first approach and professional presentation
Basic to intermediate computer skills
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
Knowledge of the Rules of Golf and competition formats
Experience with MiClub, GolfLink or golf competition systems would be advantageous, but not essential
