It is a vibrant member and community focussed club, with a strong, supportive membership of over 750 golfers and 350 Clubhouse members, in addition to public and corporate golf play, the course currently attracts over 50,000 rounds annually. The Board of Directors is now seeking applications for the role of General Manager, from suitably experienced candidates. The General Manager will ensure a strong business management approach to Club operations through the provision of quality and cost-effective services to members and visitors. The General Manager will lead all operating departments and a small dedicated team, via reporting area managers, including Course Maintenance, contracted Pro Shop, Finance, Membership, Marketing/Events, Administration, Kitchen, and front house Food and Beverage.
General Manager will work with the Board to develop and review strategic and facility master planning, that will aim to engage the local community and realise the potential opportunities that exist for the Club.
The skills required
Applicants will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
- High-level leadership qualities, with continual mentorship and guidance to staff
- Hands-on team-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Personable character befitting a membership environment
- Industry operational experience in Golf, Food and Beverage, Events, Functions, Membership Services, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources
- Experience in working with Club Board and Committee governance structures
Eligibility, Remuneration, and How to apply
You will need to be eligible or currently hold a Liquor Approved Manager Licence (QLD), RSA certificate, working with children card and the right to work in Australia.
A very competitive remuneration package, relating to your qualifications, experience and skills will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
