Overview

As a Golf Course Marshal, you will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional golfing experience for our guests and members across our two championship 18-hole golf courses. Acting as a visible and welcoming presence on the course, you will monitor pace of play, assist golfers where required, and help maintain the smooth flow of daily golf operations.

Working closely with the Golf Operations team, you will build positive relationships with guests, provide support and guidance on-course, and contribute to the delivery of the five-star experience Millbrook is known for.

What will your day look like?

• Monitoring pace of play across both golf courses and proactively supporting the smooth flow of daily operations
• Providing a welcoming, professional presence on course while assisting guests with information, directions and general enquiries
• Supporting golfers and managing pace-of-play expectations in a professional, approachable and respectful manner
• Conducting regular course patrols, monitoring course conditions and reporting any safety, maintenance or operational concerns
• Assisting with golf events, tournaments and daily operational requirements as needed
• Contributing to a positive team culture and helping deliver memorable experiences for all golfers visiting Millbrook

What makes you right for the role?

• A Full New Zealand Driver Licence is essential
• Previous experience in golf operations, golf course marshalling, hospitality, tourism or customer service would be advantageous
• A sound understanding of the game of golf, golf etiquette and pace-of-play principles would be beneficial
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
• You are confident, professional and able to manage difficult situations with diplomacy and good judgement
• You can work independently, take initiative and remain calm under pressure
• You enjoy working outdoors and are comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions

Location: Arrowtown, Queenstown

Hours: Full-time fixed-term (October 2026 – April 2027)
