Killara Golf Club is seeking a Golf Services Manager to play a key administrative role in the delivery of golf operations at one of Sydney’s leading private golf clubs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging Industry Professional who is looking to develop their career and gain valuable experience in golf administration, member services, competition management, and private club operations. The role is not a traditional Pro Shop position; rather, it is a central administrative role that supports the coordination of member golf, competitions, timesheets, events, and communication between the Club and its contracted Golf Professional.

About Killara Golf Club

Located on Sydney’s North Shore, Killara Golf Club is a prestigious, member-focused private golf club with a proud history, strong community culture, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding golf and club experience. The Club is entering an exciting period and is seeking a capable, energetic, and service-focused individual who is keen to learn, grow, and build their career in golf club operations.

The Opportunity

This role is ideally suited to an early-career Industry Professional   who is looking to broaden their skill set and develop a strong foundation in private club golf operations and management. For the right person, this role offers the chance to work closely with experienced club management, members, committees, and the contracted Golf Professional while developing the skills required for a long-term career in golf club leadership.

Killara Golf Club is committed to supporting the professional development of the successful candidate. The role will include an individually tailored career development and training plan, as well as support for Golf Management Australia membership, providing valuable exposure to industry networks, education, and professional development pathways.

The Role

The Golf Services Manager will be responsible for the administration and coordination of key golf and sport operations functions, including competitions, timesheets, member events, visitor bookings, and support for the Match Committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of competitions and timesheets through the MiClub platform
  • Supporting the Match Committee with meeting preparation, implementation, and follow-up
  • Coordination of competition fixtures, draws, results, and associated member information
  • Coordination support for pennants, corporate golf, visitor/reciprocal bookings, member events, and open days
  • Liaison with the contracted Golf Professional and Pro Shop team to ensure operational alignment between the Club and Pro Shop

About You

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, professional, and keen to develop their career in golf club operations and management. You will be highly organised, willing to learn, and comfortable communicating with members, committees, staff, and golf professionals.

This role would suit someone who enjoys the structure and detail of golf administration, has a genuine interest in the member golf experience, and is looking to take the next step in their professional development.

Ideal Candidate

  • An understanding of golf competitions, handicapping, timesheets, and member golf
  • Experience with MiClub, or the ability and willingness to quickly develop strong system knowledge
  • Strong administration, organisation, and attention to detail
  • A desire to learn, undertake professional development, and build a long-term career in golf club operations or club management

The successful candidate does not need to be a strong golfer; however, a genuine interest in golf will be highly regarded.

Employment Details

  • Position Type: Full-time
  • Days and hours of work can be negotiated with the successful candidate.
  • An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on the experience and potential of the successful candidate.
  • The successful candidate will also be supported with relevant training and professional development opportunities, including Golf Management Australia membership.
