Palm Meadows Golf Course is looking for a motivated and reliable Greenkeeper Apprentice to join our friendly course maintenance team. Whether you’re starting your apprenticeship or already in your 2nd or 3rd year, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and be part of maintaining one of the Gold Coast’s premier golf courses.

⛳ About Palm Meadows Golf Course

Set across a challenging 250-hectare landscape, Palm Meadows is a par-72 championship course designed by renowned golf course architect Graham Marsh. Measuring 6,319 metres from the championship tees, the course features spectacular playing conditions and opening and closing holes ranked among the finest in Australian golf.

Managed by GC Golf Management since 2010, Palm Meadows and its sister course, Gainsborough Greens Golf Course at Pimpama, are committed to delivering exceptional value, outstanding service and memorable golfing experiences.

🌱 About the Role

As a Greenkeeper Apprentice, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in golf course maintenance, turf management, landscaping and machinery operation while working alongside an experienced team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and rough areas.
• Operating golf course machinery, including mowers, rough cutters and brush cutters.
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Carrying out landscaping and general course maintenance duties.
• Changing hole locations on greens.
• Assisting with irrigation and reticulation system installation, repairs and maintenance.
• Performing weed control and maintaining the overall presentation of the course.
• Cleaning, maintaining and caring for golf course machinery.
• Keeping the course clean, tidy and in excellent condition.
• Completing maintenance records and other required paperwork.
• Assisting with course improvements, repairs and development projects.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and dependable.
• Organised with good time management skills.
• Honest, trustworthy and willing to learn.
• A positive team player with a strong work ethic.
• Passionate about working outdoors and developing practical skills.
• Available to work weekends.
• Committed to completing the three-year apprenticeship.
• Previous golf course experience or knowledge of the game is an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
