About the role

As a Retail Assistant at Golf HQ, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience in our Silverdale, Auckland store. This full-time role involves assisting customers with their golfing needs, maintaining store presentation, and supporting the overall operations of the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering inquiries, and guiding them to the appropriate products
• Maintaining the visual merchandising and presentation of the store, ensuring it is always clean, organised, and inviting
• Restocking and replenishing inventory as needed, and accurately processing sales transactions
• Contributing to the overall success of the store by supporting team members and adhering to company policies and procedures
• Actively participating in product training and development to expand your knowledge of the golfing industry

What we’re looking for

• A passion for golf and a desire to share your enthusiasm with customers
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably within the sporting goods or outdoor recreation industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and work effectively as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
