Riverside Oaks Golf Resort is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Golf to join our management team in a full-time capacity. Based at our premier facility in Cattai, NSW, this role is pivotal in supporting the strategic direction and operational excellence of our golf operations. You will work alongside the Director of Golf to ensure the highest standards of course management, member services, and golf programme delivery. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the guest and member experience whilst contributing to the continued success and reputation of Riverside Oaks Golf Resort.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Golf in the overall management and strategic direction of golf operations and course maintenance
  • Oversee daily golf course operations, including scheduling, maintenance coordination and course conditioning
  • Manage golf staff, including coaching, development, performance management and scheduling to ensure excellent member and guest service
  • Coordinate golf tournaments, competitions and events, ensuring they are executed professionally and meet member expectations
  • Develop and implement golf programmes and initiatives to enhance member engagement and attract new golfers
  • Monitor and maintain golf course standards, safety protocols and environmental compliance
  • Liaise with the pro shop, membership and hospitality teams to provide seamless service delivery
  • Manage golf budgets and expenditure in conjunction with the Director of Golf
  • Maintain records of course conditions, maintenance activities and member feedback
  • Represent the resort at external golf industry events and networking opportunities

What we’re looking for

  • Significant experience in golf course management or golf operations, ideally at a club or resort with a similar scope of operations
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent knowledge of golf course maintenance standards and best practices
  • Experience in event coordination and tournament management
  • Sound business acumen and ability to work within budget parameters
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for golf and commitment to delivering exceptional member and guest experiences
  • Proficiency with golf management software and general IT systems
  • Recognised golf management qualifications or certifications are desirable
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
