A rare opportunity to build your future at Aston Hills Golf Club!

Aston Hills Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Course Superintendent to join our course team and help deliver a great experience for our members and guests.

This is a genuine career opportunity. With our current Course Superintendent planning to retire, there is a clear pathway to the top role in under 12 months. You’ll have the chance to work closely with the Superintendent during a substantial handover period, learning the course, the team and the operation before taking on greater responsibility.

With average staff tenure of more than 10 years, opportunities like this don’t come around often. We’re proud of the stability of our team and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us for the long term.

What you’ll do:

Working alongside the Course Superintendent and grounds team, you’ll help maintain and improve our 18-hole course and practice facilities. You’ll contribute to daily course presentation, irrigation and turf management, equipment care, staff coordination and the planning of course works.

As you develop into the role, you’ll take on increasing responsibility and gain practical experience across the full operation.

What we offer:

  • A clear pathway to Course Superintendent in under 12 months
  • A structured handover with the current Superintendent
  • Great working hours, with a focus on daytime work
  • Paid professional development and opportunities to build your skills
  • Free club membership
  • A stable, experienced team with average tenure of more than 10 years
  • Remuneration commensurate with your experience and qualifications
  • The opportunity to make a real contribution to the ongoing improvement of the course

About you:

You’ll bring a strong work ethic, pride in your work and a genuine interest in golf course management. You may already be working in a golf course maintenance team and ready for the next step, or have relevant turf, horticulture or grounds experience and be keen to develop.

You’ll be practical, reliable and willing to learn, with the communication skills to work well with the team and contribute to a positive workplace.

If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and want a rare opportunity to work towards leading a course operation, we’d love to hear from you.
