About the Role: As our Arborist, you will play a vital role in the care, maintenance, and management of trees and wooded areas across the golf course. You’ll be working as part of a skilled grounds team to ensure our course remains both safe and visually stunning for players and visitors alike.

Background

Golf NSW is the governing body for amateur golf in NSW and the ACT, and is a member of Golf Australia, the national sporting organisation for amateur golf in Australia.

The role of Golf NSW is to efficiently promote, market, and advance the game of golf in the State in collaboration with Golf Australia, State Golf Associations and other industry bodies, ensuring a viable future for the game. 

Golf NSW services 365 Golf Clubs throughout NSW and the ACT, along with 170,000 affiliated golfers.

Golf NSW currently employs 35 full time staff and has an annual turnover of $17.8m. 

The Role

Golf NSW requires a motivated, trustworthy, reliable and suitably qualified Financial Accountant who would welcome the opportunity to grow with the business and enhance the financial policies and systems already in place.  The role reports directly to the CEO of Golf NSW. 

The position is a full function accounting role including – payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, full Profit & Loss, budgeting, monthly reporting and analysis with commentary, compliance, and CEO/Board reporting. The position also includes the processing and oversight of the finances of Jack Newton Junior Golf.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Executive management team, you will be responsible for duties including;

  • Providing financial leadership to the CEO, Finance Committee, and Board of Golf NSW.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining appropriate policies and practices that ensure best practice financial management of the business.
  • Improving financial management information systems and reporting structures.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulatory authorities.
