Little Para Golf Course, located in Paralowie (SA), is seeking a Qualified Golf Course Superintendent to work with our professional and innovative team at the most exciting golf facilities in the State of South Australia. Our 9-hole, Par 3 golf course is regarded as one of the best in Australia with full length holes (100m – 165m) meandering throughout the property with ancient River Red Gums and the Little Para River as a feature. It’s an outstanding golf experience.

Little Para also boasts a 230m Driving Range with Trackman Range technology and an R&A endorsed, SHANX Mini Golf course.

With an exciting phase of our golf course with new machinery (<2 years old), irrigation system, pumps and vegetation re-establishment program, we are seeking a turf professional with the necessary qualifications and experience to deliver great playing conditions for our users.

Experience in managing Bent Grass and Santa ana turf is preferred.

The Role

About the Course & Facilities

Burleigh Golf Club has made significant investments in its golf course and maintenance operations over the past five to six years, including:

  • Installation of a new Rain Bird irrigation system (circa 2020)
  • Construction of modern greenkeeping facilities (circa 2020)
  • Ongoing course improvement initiatives planned over the coming years

The maintenance department operates with an annual budget of approximately $1.5 million (excluding depreciation) and is supported by a team of 12 staff, including the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

The Club maintains a detailed equipment replacement program extending more than five years into the future, ensuring the maintenance team is supported with modern, reliable machinery.

In addition, the Club has modelled capital expenditure requirements for the golf course and facilities more than a decade ahead and has ensured funding is in place to support these long term improvements. This reflects the Club’s commitment to being a progressive and forward-looking organisation.
